I am an amateur photographer and have been for about 10 years. Until recently I have taken mostly nature and landscape images and of course many photos of my grandchildren much to their dismay! I’m also a Docent at the Roger Williams Park Zoo so I have many photos of zoo animals up close and personal.
My current passion is creating and photographing still lifes. I find this extremely rewarding as an artist. I also have been experimenting with scan photography, this is a method of creating images using a scanner instead of the camera. This process is very exciting and you can accomplish some very dramatic and unique results.
I currently belong to the Photographic Society of Rhode Island which is a great place to learn and grow as an artist especially because of the feed back you receive from members, and judges when you enter competitions.
I find that with photography you are never bored because you are always looking for the next BEST SHOT!!
