Grace's Senior Project

Grace Cournoyer, a senior at Toll Gate High, completed her senior project this year while learning to make pottery on the wheel.   She spent over 26 hours working in the studio, and the results of her efforts were amazing.  Although Grace had no prior experience working with clay, she was able to make several beautiful pots. In addition to the hands on training she acquired with me in the studio, she spent hours  researching the form and process of ancient pottery making.  She specifically studied two cultures, the Mayan and the Taino.  All of her hard work paid off, and she completed the project months ahead of schedule.

Grace is an extremely intelligent, hard working individual who's smile and laugh is infectious. It was a pleasure to have her spend time with me in the studio.
